New York Fashion Week SS 2013 :: Nicholas K

Yours truly was lucky enough to score a front row seat to Nicholas K fashion show at Lincoln Center. Again, Nicholas K opened up MBFW and showed off their Spring 2013 line. The sibling team Nicholas and Christopher Kunz are known for their loose fitting and multi-layered clothing. This line featured breezy, bohemian silhouettes of ultra soft cashmere, silk satin, and mesh paneling in a spectrum of blue, wood brown, nude, stone grey with pops of rust, and periwinkle hues. They also added pops of bold geometric stained glass necklaces which definitely stood out. 

The brand has grown greatly since its beginning in 2003, first with the menswear line in 2005. They now sell the Nicholas K collection in over 120 stores worldwide. For the Spring/Summer 2013 season the team has also included a small line of women’s shoes.

Congrats to the Nicholas K team, very well done!

Fall 2012 Trend :: Peplum (ish)

Peplum is still huge this fall and you'll find it translated in almost every shape and form, from leather and silk to dresses and blouses. I personally don't find it particularly flattering on my shape but still love the look. This Warehouse dress I think looks peplum-ish but is trimmer and thus much more forgiving for someone with a thicker waist (like me!). Hope you like! xxj
