Need to get out of the city with the kids for a day? Look no further for a swashbuckling adventure is just an hour and a half away! Jersey Shore Pirates is a family experience like no other. The kids get dressed up as pirates including tattoos and face painting and then board the Sea Gypsy for an ride along the Metedeconk River. There they learn pirate lingo, water cannon Pirate Pete and search for a buried treasure. It was a great morning and even my girly girl enjoyed the trip. P.S. If you want a full day of it, Windward Beach Park is right next door. It's a great spot for a picnic. There is also a swimming beach there and a jungle gym right on the sand!
